The Real Madrid returns to training
The Real Madrid returned to training at the Valdebebas sports city, after enjoying a free weekend following the conclusion of their tour of Australia and Asia, with the two big news of Marco Asensio and Borja Mayoral. Rafa Benítez now has the two U19 European champions, who joined the team for the first time today, Monday, on the return to work of the Real Madrid squad.
Asensio and Borja Mayoral started showing their skills to the Real Madrid coach, who in the coming days will have to decide their future, whether they stay in the first team or go on loan to a La Liga team for a year.
Rafa Benítez had all the first team players available in the first session of the week, in a group reinforced by the promising youngsters Marcos Llorente and the Norwegian Martin Odegaard.
The intense training session consisted, according to the club's website, of a warm-up followed by dividing into three groups to perform physical exercises and passing and positioning drills. Meanwhile, the goalkeepers completed a specific session with their coach, Xavi Valero.
The Real Madrid travels to Munich on Monday, where Benítez will hold a press conference at the Westin Hotel. In the German city, they will participate in the Audi Cup starting from tomorrow, with the opening match against English team Tottenham at 6:15 PM.
