The Franco-Moroccan player Fayçal Fajr, who played last season with Elche, will sign a three-year contract with Deportivo de La Coruña on Monday or Tuesday, as he revealed in an interview with the Moroccan newspaper Le Matin. Fajr explained to the newspaper that Deportivo asked him not to participate in the last friendly match played by Elche last Saturday "as a precaution."
The midfielder has claimed to have received "several offers" from Spanish league clubs amidst the crisis that Elche is immersed in, but only with Deportivo has he been able to reach an agreement whose conditions he does not specify.
Fajr, 26 years old, began his career in the French championship, and in the 2014-2015 season, he signed with Elche, after having rejected an offer from Granada.
As for Deportivo, it is possibly the Spanish club with the most relationship with Moroccan footballers, as Nuredin Naybet, Mustafa Hadji, and Salaheddine Bassir have passed through its ranks.
