Inbee Park has won the British Open ahead of her fellow Koreans Jin-Young Ko and So Yeon Ryu, tied with New Zealander Lydia Ko in third place. The Korean has secured the major thanks to a tremendous final day. After three days with usual numbers (69+73+69), the world number one has made a masterful round needing only 65 shots. Park, with six birdies and an eagle on hole fourteen, has played the best eighteen holes of this British finishing seven under par this day and with 276 shots (-11) overall in the tournament.

Inbee Park has added another title to her extensive record this afternoon. With this one, she now has seven majors and the British Open completes her "Grand Slam." A career "Grand Slam" since she has won all five throughout her career and not all in one year, although there could be some doubts if we consider that she won the Evian in 2012, when it was not yet considered a major. Even so, this 2015 has been a great year in her career, as it is the fifth title she has won.

"I feel great, I have dreamed of this title my whole life," she said after finishing. The golfer acknowledged that she will set new goals: "I cannot say what my next objective is because this is one of the main ones I had set for my career." With the victory in the major, the golfer cements her position at the top of the world rankings.

The second position is occupied by Jin-Young Ko. Yesterday she led the leaderboard, but the Korean shot 71 (-1) and finished three shots behind Inbee Park in the overall standings. So Yeon Ryu and Lydia Ko round out the podium, tied for third place with 280 shots (-8).

Luna Sobrón is the best of the Spanish players in this British Open, finishing thirteenth, tied with Cristie Kerr, Hyo Joo Kim, and Yani Tseng. The amateur, who made her debut in this edition after winning the European Amateur Championship, closed the tournament with her best performance at Turnberry, 69 shots. The Balearic player achieved five birdies and secured her final position in the Top 15, as well as being crowned the best amateur of the tournament. The other Spanish player in this tournament, Azahara Muñoz, improved her result today by finishing level par, which definitively places her in the 50th position.
