Transfer of Angel Di Maria to Paris Saint Germain Imminent

The signing of Argentine player Ángel Di María by Paris Saint Germain appears to be imminent, after English media reported today that the Manchester United player will soon undergo a medical examination with the French champions.

The winger will undergo the medical check-up in the next 24 hours, after both clubs agreed to the transfer for £44 million (about $69 million), as reported by Sky Sports.

Di María, 27, arrived in Manchester from Real Madrid in August 2014 for a record fee of £59.7 million.

The Argentine scored three goals in his first five league matches, but then fell out of favor with manager, Dutchman Louis van Gaal, and in the last two months of the season, was only a starter once.

Di María did not accompany United on their preseason tour in the United States in July, as he enjoyed a longer vacation after his participation in the Copa America in Chile with his national team.
