Three years have passed since Max Biaggi officially retired from the Superbike World Championship and stepped on the podium.
Today, in Malaysia, he has achieved his 71st victory in his impressive career, but it hasn't been easy, especially because the Roman rider arrived at Sepang in less than optimal conditions. "I can finally show it. I raced in difficult conditions. How to face a race weekend in difficult conditions," he wrote on his Twitter account, accompanied by an emoji representing pain.
Those battle scars are the result of the fall suffered by the Roman pilot last week, on the same Malaysian track, during a test with the Aprilia RSV4 RF. Despite being described as "without consequences," Biaggi has had to compete this weekend with a noticeably swollen right ankle and strong pain in his left shoulder.
