León's victory at home against Veracruz with a rout

After a hesitant start, León showed its claws and imposed a rout at home against Veracruz. Prior to the match, the León institution paid tribute to Carlos Reinoso's deceased son, José Antonio, who was also a finalist with La Fiera in 1997.

Veracruz dominated the match since the 20th minute with a delightful goal by Uruguayan Juan Albín, but León turned the tables with goals from Miguel Sabah in the 67th minute, Guillermo Burdisso in the 73rd minute, and Mauro Boselli in the 80th and 83rd minutes of the match at Estadio de León.
