Max Holloway and José Aldo face off before UFC 218
Max Holloway and José Aldo faced off for the last time on Friday before their match at UFC 218, which will take place on Saturday at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, United States. A rematch with a lot at stake, as the Brazilian will try to take away the featherweight belt, while the Hawaiian will seek his first defense.
When they stepped on the scale, both fighters made weight (65.7 kilos). At the face-off, they posed face to face. Although there was no physical contact, there was a lot of tension as they stared at each other for several seconds.
"I am calm, I am sure that on Saturday I will leave the octagon as the champion. Tomorrow, I will take the big step to reach the top of the division again," said the Brazilian.
The champion, on the other hand, is confident that he will continue to reign in the category. "It is what it is, tomorrow the legacy continues. I want to thank the fans for their support and I will see them tomorrow," declared 'Blessed'.
