Héctor Herrera plays for Porto in friendly match against Valencia
The Mexican midfielder, Héctor Herrera, played for 25 minutes in the friendly match between his team, Porto, and Valencia from Spain. The match was part of the Copa Colonia, an annual friendly tournament held in the city of the same name in Germany during the European clubs' preseason.
The match between the Portuguese and Spanish teams ended in a goalless draw after 90 minutes. The winner had to be decided in a penalty shoot-out, where Iker Casillas was crucial in saving the last shot from the orange team, which lost 5-4 on penalties.
Herrera returned to his club after being with Mexico in the Gold Cup for three weeks, where he won with the national team by defeating Jamaica last Sunday.
Porto will play again in this preparation tournament tomorrow against Stoke City from England, so the Mexican midfielder could have more playing time than he had on Saturday.
