The injury happened in the first half of the match, specifically in minute 24 when the German player had to leave the field due to a muscular problem in his right thigh. He becomes the third injured player from Juventus during the preseason, after Chiellini and Barzagli.
Without the necessary medical tests, Khedira will be out of play for at least the next month, which means he will miss the Italian Super Cup that takes place on August 8th in Shanghai against Lazio, as confirmed by his coach: "Khedira will miss the Super Cup." In addition, Allegri will not be able to rely on the German player for the matches against Udinese and Roma, corresponding to the first two rounds of the Serie A, which starts on August 23rd.
