The sale of Pol Lirola to Juventus leaves 500,000 euros
Juventus has exercised its buy-back option on Pol Lirola, who was loaned from the Espanyol U-19 team last January. The operation will bring an additional 500,000 euros to Espanyol, in addition to the 150,000 euros received for the loan. This money can be used to reinvest in new signings.

Joan Collet has not received any firm offers for Héctor Moreno, as confirmed on Friday during the presentation of Enzo Roco. However, the president of Espanyol is waiting for the visit of Moreno's agent, Mino Raiola, to Barcelona to clarify his future. A future that looks more than ever far from Espanyol. PSV Eindhoven, which is the club best positioned in the battle for his signing (Fiorentina is also interested), will try to incorporate him within a maximum period of seven days.
The fact is that the Eredivisie starts next weekend and PSV wants to have their squad closed before their debut match, next Saturday away to ADO Den Haag. As AS reported, the Dutch club has already communicated to Moreno their interest and may have specified the economic proposal for the player. In the case of a transfer offer between clubs, it will hardly exceed five million euros. And although Espanyol expected to receive around six million, the fact that Moreno would be available on a free transfer next year may tip the balance.
Collet, on the other hand, made it clear on Friday that, in the event of a transfer, Espanyol owns the full federative and economic rights of Moreno, so the income would go entirely to the club, which had already paid off the 2.5 million euros loan that financed part of his purchase from AZ Alkmaar. Everything, except for "two or three percent," which would correspond to a former board member (supposedly August Newton), who used his share of the famous capital gains generated by the sale of Dani Osvaldo to reinvest in the acquisition of the center-back in 2011, and would now also receive a share of the sale.
Obviously, if the departure of Héctor Moreno is confirmed, which could have his first minutes of the pre-season against Reading on Saturday (4:00 p.m., Esport3), the club will have to sign another center-back to start alongside Álvaro González, as the signing of Roco is intended as a replacement for Diego Colotto. Antonio Raillo, in any case, will continue in the first team.
