The Osasuna debuted in the preseason competition with a 1-0 victory over Eibar in a friendly match played at San Miguel de Olite.
A goal by José García in the 67th minute, and the remarkable performance of goalkeeper Nauzet were enough for the Pamplona team to defeat a first division team like Eibar.
Osasuna's coach, Enrique Martín, fielded two different lineups in each half. In the second half, the home team increased the pressure on the opposing field and, after failing to take advantage of some goal chances, García scored the goal, but shortly after he had to leave the field with a shoulder dislocation.
Aside from the defeat, the bad news for the Eibar team was the serious injury of Ander Gayoso. The full-back, who came on in the second half, had to leave the field in the 83rd minute and after the initial examinations, it has been confirmed that he has a torn ligament.
