According to a poll conducted by the Mexican newspaper El Universal, a large part of the fans believe that the decision to remove Miguel Herrera from the helm of the National Team was correct. In addition, they support Ricardo 'Tuca' Ferretti as a replacement.
The newspaper asked various questions to find out what people think about the Herrera-Martinoli case and the future of the national team. 62% consider Herrera's dismissal to be correct, although 29% saw it as very wrong to fire the 'Piojo' from the Tri. Of the same total of people surveyed, 55% believe that now the National Team will improve their level and 24% think it will worsen.
When it comes to choosing the next coach of the Tricolor National Team, 24% prefer Ricardo 'Tuca' Ferretti, 10% prefer Gustavo Matosas, 6% prefer Víctor Manuel Vucetich, and 5% prefer Hugo Sánchez.
Regarding journalist Christian Martinoli, 35% believe that just like Miguel Herrera was sanctioned, the reporter should also receive a punishment, while 58% think he should not be sanctioned at all.
