UFC Shanghai's Main Event Fight Canceled due to Possible Doping
The main event of UFC Shanghai was planned to feature a matchup between veteran Anderson Silva and Mexican fighter Kelvin Gastelum on November 25th. However, the Brazilian has been removed from the card due to a possible doping violation.
Today, UFC released an official statement on their website explaining that Silva was taken off the fight card after a seemingly positive sample collected on October 26th. He will be temporarily suspended, and the promotion will seek a new opponent for Gastelum.
