Mickey Gall suffers his first defeat in UFC 217

American fighter Mickey Gall gained recognition in the world of mixed martial arts after his decisive victory over CM Punk (former WWE star) in September last year, marking the debut of both fighters in the UFC octagon.

Although Mickey Gall also won his second fight in the company (defeating Sage Northcutt by submission), he didn't have a good time this Saturday against Randy Brown in the preliminary card of UFC 217, suffering his first professional defeat.

Mickey Gall was overwhelmed by Brown's constant onslaught in the first round. Although he managed to control the actions with his great wrestling technique in the second round, he would suffer a deep cut on his forehead in the third round, hindering his vision.

The explosive combinations of punches and elbows ended up opening Mickey Gall's head, leaving him little to do in the end to change the result on the judges' scorecards. Ultimately, Randy Brown would take the victory by unanimous decision.
