"Neymar case": New complaint accepted by the National Court against Barcelona's president and Neymar
According to Cadena SER, the National Court accepted a new complaint on Thursday, filed by DIS (the owner of 40% of the player's rights at the time of his transfer to Barça) against the interim president of Barça, Josep Maria Bartomeu and Neymar for corruption and fraud. The complaint also includes Barça as a club, former president Sandro Rosell, and the player's father.
The National Court accepts DIS's claim against Neymar for corruption and fraud
The National Court accepted DIS's claim for corruption between individuals and fraud for nearly 40 million euros. On May 25, the Penal Chamber of the National Court left it in the hands of the Barcelona Court to decide whether there was a crime in the Neymar case. The Court had to rule on the appeals filed by the club against its prosecution.
DIS intends to claim damages and losses in the Neymar case
DIS announced its intention to claim damages and losses for the operation as it received 6.8 million euros corresponding to the 17.1 million that Barça paid Santos for the transfer. DIS discovered that the company N&N received 40 million euros for the player's rights.
The problem faced by Barça in the Neymar case
If, as argued, the 40 million belonged to the player's salary, the club did not declare it. If it was part of the transfer, DIS should have received 16 million. In addition, DIS accuses Santos of participating in Barcelona's contractual simulation and fraud by accepting 7.9 million euros from the Catalan club for preferential rights to three players, money that was paid without return as two of the three Santos players are no longer with the Brazilian club. They are Víctor Andrade (Benfica) and Giva (Coritiba).
