Thomas Vermaelen talked to the press after Barça’s training session at the American University de Washington. The Belgian player is now over his injury which saw him undergo surgery to correct an ongoing hamstring issue.
Sensations: "I don’t expect to be in the starting XI in the Euro Super cup final. One has to be realistic. I have to keep growing, especially after last season which was clearly the worst of my career.
Piqué: “He’s the player closet to me on the pitch and the one who helps me the most. The other players are great with me but due to the positioning, it’s Piqué who I have most contact with”.
Luis Enrique: “He is a coach who likes to communicate, although he has yet to offer me any personal advice. He’s a guy who speaks his mind”.
