Movie ending at TLC
Kurt Angle couldn't make a better return. The 'Olympic Hero' dressed up as Roman Reings and, along with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, performed a 'triple bomb' on The Miz to secure the victory in the main event.
The match was an uphill battle for The Shield as the numerical advantage was evident in the ring. However, since anything goes, Angle and his team started hitting their opponents with chairs.
The Olympian showed off by executing suplexes on anyone in the ring, but the power of the 'Monster Among Men' took RAW's general manager out of the match for several minutes. With one man down, the tag team champions were at a clear disadvantage.
However, just when it seemed like The Miz and his cronies would come out on top, conflicts between Kane and Strowman weakened the quintet. The disappearance of the 'bearded one' and Angle's return, who had been attended to by medics, ultimately leveled the playing field.
PREVIEW:
The return of The Shield was a huge success, and it couldn't have been any better. After three years and many differences, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose reunited as one of the greatest groups in WWE history.
Their first big challenge together, after a long time, will be today in a tables, ladders, and chairs handicap match against The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus, Braun Strowman, and Kane at TLC (7:00 pm / FOX Action). Although the 'Hounds of Justice' suffered a major setback with the late withdrawal of Roman Reigns due to health issues, the rest of The Shield members will have a partner of Kurt Angle's caliber.
Thus, the 'Olympic Hero' will return to action in WWE after 11 years. And what a way to do it: in an extreme match. When they found out the news, both Rollins and Ambrose decided to show their support for RAW's general manager.
"It will be a tough battle. Kurt Angle, it is not the time to doubt, we need your help because we will be in a war zone," were the words of the current champions of the red brand. At 48 years old, Angle will seek to prove that his skills are still intact. Additionally, he will want to validate his nickname of 'The extreme fighting machine', a name he earned during his brief stint in ECW.
