Roberto Mancini, Inter Milan coach. spoke to the media after his side’s 3-0 reverse in Guangzhou this evening and declared that Real Madrid are: "one of the best teams in the world".
"Despite the result, which I’m not happy about, I am pleased with the team’s performance", he commented in the post-game press conference.
Inter have failed to score in three pre-season games in China but this is not of concern to the Italian coach: "No goals. It’s clear the results are not going our way but the important factor is that we are putting in good performances. We’re improving as a team", he added.
Inter’s Brazilian player, Anderson Hernanes, assured that the team "played well in the first half and created a few chances”.
"Madrid scored first and took control of the match and this was the case in the second half. We’ve played three games in just six days and we’re aware that our objective here is not about winning. Winning would be great of course but we just need to keep working hard", added Hernanes.
"We’re tired and we knew Madrid were going to be difficult opponents. We were able to compete with them, especially in the first half” he concluded.
