New signing for Aston Villa FC
The Spanish defender José Angel Crespo, 28 years old and previously playing for Córdoba CF, has become the newest player for Aston Villa FC, as announced by the Andalusian club on their social media.
"Agreement between Córdoba and Aston Villa"
"Córdoba and Aston Villa have reached an agreement to transfer José Angel Crespo to the English team. After the preliminary agreement between clubs, the defender is traveling to England today for the medical examination prior to the signing," the Córdoba club announced on their official Twitter account.
Crespo will live his second overseas adventure after playing in Italy, where he was part of Calcio Padova, Hellas Verona, and Bologna. From there he was loaned to Córdoba, which becomes his third Spanish team after Sevilla and Racing de Santander.
The center-back, born in Lora del Río (Sevilla), will join a squad that also announced the signing of Ghanaian international forward Jordan Ayew earlier today. Ayew signed a five-year contract after leaving French club FC Lorient.
