Osasuna has presented the Canary goalkeeper Nauzet Pérez, who comes from CE Sabadell and has a contract with the club until June 2016. The sports director, Petar Vasiljevic, has said that he is a player "with very good reflexes, good ball handling skills, and who transmits character and aggressiveness."
In a press conference, Vasiljevic has also highlighted his "experience" in the Liga Adelante, something that can bring a "plus" to the club, as well as the goalkeeper's "focus" in matches.
The goalkeeper has indicated that he had other offers from teams in the same category, but that the "important" one was Osasuna because it was the club "he wanted to come to," "a big club" with which he is "delighted and will work to give his best."
"I let myself be carried away by my impressions, I hope to have a good year here with my teammates and that everything goes well," he underlined.
Regarding the rojilla fans, he stated that it "struck him to see so many people" in Sabadell, in a match where Osasuna was fighting relegation because when "you see the fans in the stadium, it's something every player likes to experience, even if there is more pressure."
Asked about what he can bring to the rojillo club, the player responded that because it is a "fairly young" team, he will try to "help the young players in any way he can and also the team." Regarding the squad, he highlighted that it is "a lively changing room, full of desire, and that is important."
The goalkeeper also referred to Osasuna's objective in the Liga Adelante and affirmed that "the competition will determine it," but that the philosophy transmitted by the coach, Enrique Martín, is that "we are going to build a team to compete at the highest level, to get points in every match, but with calmness, taking it one match at a time."
Regarding whether his future at Osasuna is defined in one year - as stated in the contract - or if he can stay longer, Pérez explained that "we don't know what can happen," so he wished for "a good year for both Osasuna and myself" and to "continue for a long time."
He also explained that his many experiences in different teams throughout his career are due to the fact that "in football there are moments and perhaps I didn't find the right moment in a team," but that it is "nothing bad" and serves to live experiences and improve in each one.
On the other hand, today midfielder Mikel Merino has joined training, who was playing in the U-19 European Championship, of which he has become champion.
