Mike Miller and Brendan Haywood have been traded by the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Portland Trail Blazers
along with two second-round draft picks (the better of the two that the Cavs have in 2019 and the one in 2020). In exchange, the Ohio team doesn't receive anything from Oregon but acquires two valuable trade exceptions (flexibility for the future) worth the contracts of the traded players, 2.85 and 10.5 million dollars.
Miller followed LeBron to Cleveland but, in what was his 15th season in the NBA, he showed clear signs of decline and averaged just 2.1 points in only 13.5 minutes. Haywood played in 22 Regular Season games and averaged 1.6 points and 1.3 rebounds in 5.4 minutes.
It is expected that the Blazers will release both players, but there is still no official confirmation from the Oregon franchise.
According to the Akron Beacon Journal, LeBron James is satisfied with Miller's trade, as he wanted to go to a team where he could get the playing time he didn't have in Ohio.
