"Today was a disaster, a debacle and embarrassing, the club need to take action as these players are no good enough". Paco Jémez was in no mood to mince his words after a humiliating 5-0 defeat away to second division Albacete at the Carlos Belmonte stadium.
Changing the whole team at the break: "I changed the whole team as the players in the first half were not fit to wear the Rayo shirt. They were a disaster in the first half we need to tighten things up".
Attitude: "One can draw many conclusions from the game. We simply were not good enough and were humiliated by our opponent. We’re far from our best and today looked nothing like a team from the top flight. It was an embarrassment and we were embarrassing".
Rival: "Albacete Balompié played really well and I wish them well for the season ahead. Our first half performance was unforgivable".
