Depor signs Sidnei and Cani
Last week, Depor signed Sidnei and Cani. They have almost secured a deal for Mosquera, and Lucas Pérez could also be joining them soon. Negotiations with PAOK resumed a few days ago, and the transfer of the Coruña football player is now on track.
Lucas Pérez's Possible Transfer
This season, Lucas played in A Coruña on loan with a buyout clause of 2.5 million. Depor couldn't reach that amount by the end of the season, but they expressed their intention to negotiate the transfer with the Greek club. After strengthening their defense, negotiations and offers were reopened. An agreement is close, and Depor has 1.5 million euros ready to secure his transfer. The amount would also satisfy PAOK, who paid one million to Karpaty two years ago for 85% of his rights.
Lucas's Desire to Return
Lucas, who has always expressed his desire to return to Depor, has also made efforts to force his departure, especially after his confrontation with Tudor, PAOK's coach. Progress in the negotiations smoothed things out, and Lucas was a starter on Wednesday in the Europa League, possibly his final service to the Greek club.
A New Era for Depor
If Deportivo finally pays 1.5 million for Lucas Pérez, it will mark the beginning of a new era, as the Coruña club hasn't made a significant payment since the signing of Guardado in 2007, for which they paid 5.25 million euros.
