U. Catholic: Forward Christian Bravo expressed the ambitions of the cruzados team for the Apertura.

University Catholic will have a difficult hurdle in their debut in the Opening Tournament and forward Cristián Bravo, who returned to the country after his time in Granada, highlighted the complexity of the challenge in the north. He also expressed satisfaction with his integration into the team led by Mario Salas.

"We are prepared and training to go forward and seek the match. Let's see if we come out with a victory. We watch videos and things like that, but what we focus on the most is moving forward and imposing our game," said the right winger.

"The field (of the Tierra de Campeones Stadium) will be in poor condition for both teams. I don't think it's a reason to complain. We have been focused on ourselves, on playing our game and going for the match from the first minute," he added.

About his incorporation into the Cruzado lineup, Bravo stated, "My teammates and I have adapted well. At the beginning, it is a bit difficult, but we are getting to know each other well and we are prepared to face the first round of the championship. I think I have complemented myself well, I haven't had any problems. I have two great teammates on the right, like (full-backs) Stéfano (Magnasco) and Pablo (Álvarez). I think whoever plays does it in the best possible way. We are focused on the match and that is the main thing."

"The fight for the starting spot is the same in all teams. We are all here to contribute to the team and we are focused on being a team. Whoever plays does it in the best possible way and whoever doesn't or comes on later, does it in the same way," he added.

"The key to this championship is to start well, because it is a short tournament. If you lose one match and then another, you can practically be out of contention for the top places. From the first match to the last, we have to go for the victory," he said.

Finally, Bravo made it clear that, in his reintegration into Chilean football, he does not lose hope of being called up to the national team, after playing in the U20 World Cup in Turkey for the youth national team.

"The national team is something that motivates you, but the first thing for me is Católica. I come with the purpose of going far and winning the championship with Católica. First, you have to take it step by step, we are just in the first round. If the situation arises to go to the national team, I will be happy. But I am focused on Católica and that is my first benchmark," said the forward.
