FC Porto Arrives in Germany for Friendly Against Borussia Monchengladbach

Last night, FC Porto arrived in Germany ahead of their friendly match against historic Bundesliga side, Borussia Monchengladbach.

The presence of Iker Casillas in goal for the Portuguese Liga Nos side has generated enormous interest in his native Spain. Television Española has secured the rights for the friendly match. As the squad left Francisco Sá Carneira airport, the goalkeeper became the center of attention with a legion of fans seeking photographs with the Spaniard. Upon arrival in Germany, the delegation was greeted by a group of FC Porto fans who chanted the goalkeeper's name along with those of Tello, Aboubakar, and Helton.

Casillas is expected to play for the Portuguese team after making his debut in last weekend's friendly against MSV Duisburg. Lopetegui has brought a squad of 26 players to Germany, but was forced to leave Imbula, Martins Indi, and Brahimi behind due to minor injuries. Porto is scheduled to play another pre-season friendly next Monday, once again facing Bundesliga opposition, Schalke 04.
