Malaga starts its South American tour in Colombia.

The Málaga

The Málaga has departed this Friday bound for Colombia at the beginning of its South American tour. First stop in Madrid, there will be a second stop, already in Colombian territory, in Medellín and from there to Cali where it will arrive around one in the morning on Saturday after eleven hours of flight. This Sunday at 17:00 (00:00 Spanish time), it will play its first match against Deportivo Cali within the framework of the LFP World Challenge tour to dispute the Euroamerican Cup, a tournament organized by DirecTV, which will broadcast the three matches that the team will play on American soil. The first match will be played at the Deportivo Cali stadium, which can accommodate 42,000 spectators.

Once the match in Colombian lands is over, on July 27th, the Malaga team will travel to Buenos Aires, via Bogotá, where it will stay focused for the second stage of the LFP World Challenge Tour. The white and blues will play their second match of the Euroamerican Cup against the champion of the 2014 Copa Libertadores, Club Atlético San Lorenzo de Almagro, on Thursday, July 30th, at 20:30 (1:30 in the morning Spanish time) at the Pedro Bidegain Stadium in Buenos Aires.

Next, the team led by Javi Gracia will travel to Uruguay on July 31st, specifically to Montevideo, the last stop of the LFP World Challenge Tour where it will face Club Atlético Peñarol in the also final match of the Euroamerican Cup. This match will be played on Saturday, August 1st, at 15:00 (20:00 Spain time) at the Centenario Stadium, with a capacity to accommodate more than 60,000 spectators. Once the LFP World Challenge Tour is finished in three South American countries, the white and blue expedition will move back to Buenos Aires from where it will return on August 2nd to Spain and is expected to arrive in Málaga one day later, on August 3rd, at around 9:30 am.

The 25 players who will travel are: Kameni, Amrabat, Weligton, Tissone, Recio, Angeleri, Duda, Miguel Torres, Filipenko, Juanpi, Sergi Darder, Ontiveros, Iván, Pablo Fornals, Pol, Aarón, Ricardo Horta, Rosales, Espinho, Juan Carlos, Kuk Zalazar, Charles, Cop, Albentosa and Tighadouini.

The material managers of the first team, Miguel Zambrana and Juan Carlos Salcedo, will transport more than 1,500 kilograms of material for this tour in South America, where the players will encounter a warmer climate in Colombia and a colder one in Argentina and Uruguay, located in the Southern Hemisphere where it is currently winter, so they will need clothing for both situations.
