It is impossible to deny that Floyd Mayweather is one of the best boxers in history. His numbers inside the ring support him. That is why he is the favorite to defeat Conor McGregor this Saturday in Las Vegas.

In the lead-up to this highly anticipated fight, Conor McGregor is being underestimated more than he should be. They believe the Irishman is an amateur in boxing. This idea is only held by those who haven't bothered to watch - at least - one of his fights in the UFC.

Does Conor McGregor have a chance of beating Floyd Mayweather? The answer for me is affirmative. Maybe many think that the UFC champion knows nothing about boxing and is stepping into unfamiliar territory. This is a mistaken idea because 'The Notorious' started in the world of martial arts practicing boxing since he was 12 years old.

Inside the octagon, he has already shown that his fists are his lethal weapon: he defeated Marcus Brimage, José Aldo, and Eddie Alvarez in just a few minutes. Mayweather could be another victim of McGregor as long as he manages to land a single blow.

It sounds difficult because 'Money' is one of the best boxers who knows how to defend himself: hit and avoid. Throughout his career, no one has been able to knock him out. However, every time he has faced a southpaw, he has struggled. Conor could also become part of that group. His left hand is lethal, fast, and accurate.

Something that can work in favor of the Irishman is his great physical condition. McGregor is going through a great moment in his career and he has to take advantage of that. On the other hand, Floyd Mayweather has decided to come out of retirement at the age of 40. The last time we saw him in the ring was in 2015. Almost two years without activity can play a trick on him.
