Brazilian Anderson Silva will face Kelvin Gastelum in the UFC Fight Night to be held in Shanghai, China, scheduled for November 25 of this year for the middleweight division (83.9 kg). The fight between the Mexican-American and the 'Spider' will be the main event.

Anderson Silva was scheduled to face Kelvin Gastelum in his home country last June for UFC 212 after the rising star defeated Vitor Belfort. However, the fight did not materialize as Gastelum tested positive for drugs (marijuana), leading to a suspension.

The former middleweight champion ended a long losing streak after controversially defeating Derek Brunson at UFC 208 last February. In addition, the once pound-for-pound best fighter is not very happy with how the MMA company has treated him lately.

Kelvin Gastelum has defeated Johny Hendricks at UFC 200, Tim Kennedy at UFC 206, and Vitor Belfort at UFC Fight Night in Fortaleza. However, the last result was changed to no contest due to his positive drug test.

Notheless, not everything has gone his way, as in his last fight against Chris Weidman, Kelvin Gastelum lost by submission.

It is worth remembering that Anderson Silva holds the longest reign in the history of the organization (with ten title defenses), and has had the longest winning streak in UFC history, with 16 victories.
