He focused on the departure of Iker Casillas from the Santiago Bernabeu and observed: “It wasn’t a standard departure for a player who has spent so much time with the club”. The City coach added ahead of the game that: “It’s always special to face Real Madrid. I had great support from the fans these and left many friends behind”.
The Chilean coach oversaw Raul’s last season as a Real Madrid player and stated that it was “an honour to coach him”.
