Inter Milan accelerates negotiations for Joao Miranda's transfer from Atletico Madrid
The Inter Milan team has accelerated in the last few hours to secure the services of Joao Miranda and the agreement with Atletico Madrid depends on about four million euros, as reported by Gazzetta dello Sport.
The neroazzurro team would have already reached a preliminary agreement with the Brazilian central defender and would only need to convince the rojiblanco team of the amount of the operation. The team led by Indonesian billionaire Erick Thohir would have offered around 12 million euros, but Atletico is asking for 16. Miranda would be Inter Milan's first signing of the summer and at the same time would hit AC Milan's morale since their eternal rival had also shown interest in the Brazilian international.
Last year Miranda had offers from the Premier League, but then the Atletico board referred to demanding the release clause to let him leave. Now the idea is different after seeing the progression of Jose Maria Gimenez during this season. In addition, Miranda becomes a free agent in June 2016 and it would be a good opportunity to cash in on the 30-year-old center-back.
The Paranavai footballer has played 23 league matches this season with Atletico Madrid. He is currently in Chile competing in the Copa America with Brazil and is a key player in Dunga's scheme.
