Shaquille O’Neal and Scottie Pippen engage in a verbal feud

Shaquille O’Neal loves the media spotlight, all the ones that he can get into and the ones he creates himself. The legendary former center took advantage of his Instagram account to put himself in a historical lineup of the Lakers with Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Elgin Baylor, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Undoubtedly, a monstrous team. It could have ended there if Shaq had not opted to add another one, this time from the Bulls, in which Derrick Rose accompanies the major figures from the era of the six championships: Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, and Horace Grant. Without a doubt, another impressive team, although for Shaquille, there is no comparison between the two: "We would beat them by 50".

And that is where the feud began with Scottie Pippen, who became the defender of his Bulls and answered, "I'm sorry Shaq, but I don't speak in hypotheticals. What I do know is that we won six championships, twice as many as you won in L.A.".

Anyone who knows Shaquille knew it would not end there. But his next step was a serious escalation in the verbal conflict because he took the image that Pippen had posted and replaced the small forward's face with Jordan's. The message was clear: sidekick. In other words, barely a companion or a background figure next to the legendary '23'.

And Pippen did not back down: a sidekick? Well, a double serving for Shaquille. He dedicated a montage of images suggesting that he had always been a second to others: with Hardaway in Orlando, Kobe in Los Angeles, Wade in Miami, Nash in Phoenix, LeBron in Cleveland...
