Jose Alberto Quiñónez returns after almost a year without fighting, he will face Chilean Diego Rivas at UFC Mexico on August 5th, where they will open the early prelims card.
'El Teco' arrived in Mexico City two weeks ago in order to prepare for his fight, he traveled with his teammates from Entram Gym who also have commitments inside the cage, and they are all training at CNAR (National Center for High Performance): "We came well prepared from Tijuana thanks to Professor Raúl (Arvizu). The team is adapting and everything is going very well."
Quiñónez and Rivas were teammates on the reality show, and the Chilean currently has an undefeated record in his professional career: "I know he is a strong, worthy opponent and a Latin fighter. I don't expect an easy fight inside the octagon, that's why I am preparing as best as possible," he mentioned to La Afición.
For his previous two fights, he prepared without his teammates, but this time it's different and he ensures that having his brother, Henry Briones, Martín Bravo and Brandon Moreno motivates him to train better. Quiñonez considers it special for the members of Entram Gym to train together and have one of their teammates in the main event.
