Algerian forward Nabil Ghilas wants to score many goals with Levante

The Algerian forward Nabil Ghilas stated today, during his presentation as the new player of Levante until June 30, 2016, that he wants to be more consistent next season and "score many goals" with his new team.

"I want to have a full season and score many goals, I hope to score many goals this season. Strikers live off goals. You should never say how many goals you will score, but I want to work hard," Ghilas said during his presentation.

Ghilas arrives on loan from Porto for one season, although Levante has an option to buy the African attacker for eight million euros, as confirmed by Levante's president, Francisco Catalán.

The former Córdoba player, with whom he scored seven goals last season, explained that the negotiation for his arrival in Valencia was very easy thanks to the warm welcome from his teammates, and he expressed his satisfaction for scoring in the friendly match last Saturday in Alzira.

"I will do everything for the coach to trust me. He has given me a lot of confidence and the teammates and coaching staff also help me. I am very grateful for the reception, it feels like home. I really like the club," he said.

Levante's president, Francisco Catalán, accompanied the Algerian player during the presentation and highlighted the importance of signing Ghilas. "He can be an important player for us and I believe he is in the best place to prove himself and score many goals," he said.

Furthermore, the sports director, Manolo Salvador, confirmed today that the Valencian club plans to sign one or two central defenders and acknowledged that they have "very little room for error" in these signings.

"We have very little room for error. We will make one or two additions in the center of the defense and the margin for error has to be minimal," Salvador explained during the presentation of forward Nabil Ghilas as a Levante player until June 2016.

However, Levante's sports director did not reveal the names of potential signings. "There are options, but you know how this works. We are working on several options and it is a very important position," he stressed.

Salvador also explained that although his priority is signing a couple of defenders, they may make more signings. "We will try to improve wherever possible, the priority is defense, but we will not say no to other options," he concluded.
