"No change team that wins"

This is the phrase that many coaches use as a lucky charm to continue adding successes with their different teams, a message that the coach of the Colombia national team, Felipe Taborda, wants to convey on the field against England to qualify for the second round of the FIFA Women's World Cup.

Leaders and with the first option

Colombia tops Group F with four points, one more than their nearest rival, the English team. They depend on themselves to advance to the final stage. A win or a draw would secure their spot, even if they lose as long as France or Mexico do not win by a large number of goals.

Similarly, France is in third place with the same amount of points (3) but with a goal difference of -1. Mexico is at the bottom of the group with one point and would have the most difficult task to qualify.

Continuing to make history

"My team is very ambitious and they showed it against France. We have made it clear that we are not here just to make up the numbers. We knew we would have to play smart and at the same time combative. My players are true warriors," said Taborda before the match against England at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal.

The players who need to be careful not to receive another yellow card to avoid a suspension in the second round are: Sandra Sepulveda, Orianica Velásquez, Natalia Gaitán, Diana Ospina, and Daniela Montoya.

England is a skilled and tough team; their coach Mark Sampson puts his full trust in two key pieces in his lineup, namely: Karen Carney and Fran Kirby, along with captain Steph Houghton, who has played 56 international matches. These talented English players are the standouts in this World Championship held in Canada.
