In a fight that will possibly be considered the fight of the year, UFC newcomer Justin Gaethje defeated the experienced Michael Johnson in the main event of Ultimate Fighter 25. 'The Highlight' knocked out his opponent in the second round.
Using knee strikes and punches, Gaethje and Johnson connected in both rounds. Although it appeared that 'The Menace' was going to win the fight, the newcomer endured the punches, hooks, and uppercuts from his opponent before sealing his victory.
The former WSOF lightweight fighter continued to press forward, attacking the body with leg kicks and cage pressure. In the final moments of the second round, with both competitors exhausted, Gaethje knocked out Johnson with a combination of strikes, leaving Johnson sitting on the canvas.
"I'm happy to be in the UFC, I'm already looking forward to my next opponent," said 'The Highlight', who remains undefeated with 18 professional fights. The statistics show that 15 of those fights have been won by knockout.
