Video Game Frenzy at E3 2015
These days in Los Angeles, a video game frenzy is taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center, which is hosting E3 2015, one of the most anticipated events in the industry where some of the most important announcements of the year are made.
Although video games are the protagonists, cars also have a place. Whether in digital format, like the presentation of the first trailer of the new Need for Speed, or in physical format, adorning stands of producers or distributors.
Our protagonist belongs to the latter group, a very special F-150 developed jointly by Ford and Galpin Auto Sports, called Halo Sandcat. Its revealing name, at least for gamers, makes it clear what it is inspired by: the fifth installment of the franchise, Halo 5: Guardians.
The base model is a F-150 Lariat SuperCrew 4x4 with a 3.5 EcoBoost engine, but in its transformation to become as similar as possible to a Warhog like those of the Master Chief, it has received a whole series of modifications.
The military-toned vinyl and United Nations Space Command logos catch the eye, but what matters is the Baja XTR kit from Addictive Desert Designs that enhances its off-road capabilities. The package includes improved front and rear bumpers, reinforcements in the cargo box, space for three fuel cans, reinforced FOX suspensions, new leaf springs for the rear axle, and 17-inch wheels fitted with off-road tires.
And, considering the nature of this event, an Xbox One couldn't be missing inside for playing doubles in the rear seats.
