Alcorcón signs José Gómez Campaña on loan from Sampdoria

The Alcorcón has secured the loan of José Gómez Campaña, former player of Sevilla who belongs to Italian club Sampdoria. The midfielder arrives on loan for one season but with a purchase option by the yellow team, as reported by Sampdoria on its official website. Campaña returns to Spain after leaving Sevilla two seasons ago in an attempt to become the standout footballer he was at just 18 years old.

And the player was one of the great Spanish promises. He made his debut in La Liga with Sevilla at the age of 18 and was a double champion of the U19 European Championship. However, in the 2013-14 season, Sevilla did not transfer him to English club Crystal Palace. His departure did not help him, quite the opposite. The player did not manage to settle in Crystal Palace and the English team loaned him to Bundesliga's Nuremberg. He also did not thrive in Germany, but last season Sampdoria took notice of him. However, he also did not settle in Italy. He was loaned to Porto where he barely had playing time until he was demoted to the second team. There, he played six matches before returning to Italy. At the age of 22, Campaña wants to regain confidence and stability in his return to Spain. With his arrival, Alcorcón now has the organizing midfielder that Muniz was demanding.
