Former UFC Champion Matt Hughes Involved in Car Accident

Member of the UFC Hall of Fame and former welterweight champion, Matt Hughes, was involved in a car accident this morning in Raymond, Illinois, United States.

According to a police report, Hughes was driving a truck and crossed the train tracks, which a train also passed at that moment and collided with Hughes' vehicle, hitting it from the passenger side.

Hughes was airlifted to a hospital in Springfield, Illinois and UFC President, Dana White, reported that Hughes suffered a head injury and his family is on their way to the hospital to be with him. The police are still investigating the scene of the accident and more information will be released soon.
