Albacete Balompié Holds Extraordinary Shareholders' Meeting

The Albacete Balompié held an Extraordinary Shareholders' Meeting on Thursday, during which a capital increase of 1.026.000 million euros was approved with 99.98% of the votes in favor.

Club President José Miguel Garrido

José Miguel Garrido, the club's president, explained after the meeting that the approval of the capital increase means ensuring that "we comply with the conditions imposed by the Superior Council of Sports (CSD)" which, from his point of view, is a "good news for us and for the club," he added.

Capital Increase and Renegotiation with Tax Authorities

This capital increase was a condition imposed by the CSD and, after carrying it out, the club will seek to reach agreements for renegotiation with the Tax Authorities to avoid problems like the ones suffered in the previous season when it was on the brink of liquidation. "With the capital increase, we will try to sit down with the Tax Authorities to regularize our situation as soon as possible," explained Garrido.

Confirmation of Agreements and Subsidy from the Provincial Council

When asked by journalists if it should be confirmed before the end of the month, in order to avoid problems with the team's participation in the Second Division, he emphasized that "it does not have to be before July 31 because the Professional Football League (LFP) knows that we comply with the ratios they request."

Transfer of Keko and Pending Decision from the Provincial Council

He was also questioned about the 590,000 euros subsidy signed by the previous Administration of the Provincial Council of Albacete, to which he clarified: "We have met with the current leaders of the Provincial Council, who are studying the agreed subsidy, and we are waiting for them to communicate their decision, something that seems normal to us."

Lastly, regarding the transfer of Keko, he announced that it will be appropriately resolved "next week" because his representatives "have always had the intention of making the resolution of his transfer satisfactory for all parties."
