Alberto Contador feels better in the twelfth stage of the Tour de France
Spanish cyclist Alberto Contador stated that he felt better on Thursday in the twelfth stage of the Tour de France, although he mentioned that he is still not in his best form.
"I am happy. I am feeling better, but I don't have the level of fitness that I would like. We have to keep making efforts. This could be good for me," said the Tinkoff Saxo cyclist.
Contador launched two attacks in the climb to Plateau de Beille, but crashed against the strength of the leader's teammates, British rider Chris Froome.
"More than Froome, it has been his teammates who have been strong. Additionally, there was a lot of wind," he mentioned.
The cyclist from Madrid congratulated his compatriot Joaquim Rodríguez for his victory. "I'm happy for 'Purito'," he said.
