Rashad Evans Attends UFC Mexico Media Day
Rashad Evans attended the UFC Mexico Media Day, an event where he will face Sam Alvey on August 5th. His opponent is already familiar with the altitude and environment of the city, as he fought in the same venue on November 5th, where history will be written again for the sport in the country.
However, Evans is aware of this and is already planning his training camp, which he will do with the help of Mark Henry: "I will do the first half of my camp in New Jersey and for the other half I will come to Mexico, although I still don't know where I'm going to train, I'm still looking for a place, but I know I have to take into account the altitude, it was something I didn't think about when I accepted the fight, but I can't wait to fight," Rashad declared to the local media.
Despite having competed in the heavyweight and light heavyweight divisions, his matchup with Alvey will take place in the middleweight division: "I'm already ready for the fight and I'm excited to do it in Mexico and to have to step out of my comfort zone to train in another country, because it's a different culture and for me, a new experience. My plan is to win this fight and a couple more, and then ask for a title shot, that's my goal," commented the winner of the second season of The Ultimate Fighter reality show.
