UFC Fight Night
Brandon Moreno will headline the UFC Mexico event on August 5th in a five-round fight against Sergio Pettis. Regarding the event, he commented for La Afición, "I feel a bit of pressure because the company has put too much confidence in me and I think I have to respond to them, but I feel happiness more than anything."
Moreno will conduct the first part of his training camp at the Entram Gym in Tijuana, Baja California, and in the month of July, he will travel to the city to continue his preparation while getting acclimated to the altitude and air quality.
About his opponent, he commented, "Pettis is a very complete fighter, but his game is standing up. He is not afraid to take you to the ground. He can be winning the round and take you down at the end to secure the round, so I have to be very aware of his stand-up game, but at the end of the day, I am also very good."
Brandon maintains a good relationship with his team, to whom he always dedicates his fights. However, this time he wants to do it for the people who support him. "This time it will be special because it will be in Mexico, so I want to dedicate the fight to all the Mexican people. I want them to have a good impression of my fight. It's for all the fans who are waiting for me," added the Tijuana native, who for the first time in his UFC career will headline a fight.
Ticket sales for UFC Mexico begin on June 9th, and the full card will be announced in the coming days.
