Sergio Alvarez extends contract with Celta de Vigo

Sergio Alvarez, goalkeeper of Celta de Vigo, has extended his contract for two more seasons, remaining linked to the team until June 2018, as announced by the club through a press release.

The homegrown player, who was the Celta player with the most minutes played in the League last season, made his debut with the first team in the 2010-11 season.

"It was a simple renewal and we quickly reached an agreement. I am happy to stay here for three more years, and I will try to help build a stronger Celta. The club has shown me their trust with this three-year contract," Alvarez said to Celta TV after signing his new contract.
