Spanish team competes in Rijnsburg for the FIFPro Tournament

The AFE Selection will play this weekend in Rijnsburg (Netherlands) the final phase of the FIFPro Tournament for players without a team. The Spanish team is led by Óscar Arpón, who took over the position of coach left vacant by Víctor Manuel Fernández, hired by Cartagena along with his assistant, Chuchi Macón.

Spain will play against Poland in the second semifinal on Thursday (19:30), before France and Czech Republic face each other for the first place in the final (Saturday, July 18th, 15:30). The third and fourth place will also be decided on Saturday (13:00).

In the quarterfinals, Arpón's team eliminated Austria in a penalty shootout (they finished 2-2 after regular time) and since July 13th, they have been preparing for the semifinal at the Football School Mareo, Gijón. The AFE Selection was champion of this tournament in 2013 and 2014 and is once again considered the favorite.
