Mclaren's Formation is working great, according to Ron Dennis
The management of the McLaren-Honda team has changed its approach, with Ron Dennis no longer being the "visible head" and everything being performed in a more balanced way.
"I go to the Grand Prix races, but I am the executive director of the whole group, which includes more than just F1. Of course, F1 is a crucial part of the business, but I don't have a direct duty. I observe it from the outside, participate in meetings, but I am independent," Dennis made it clear.
In line with the above, the British executive wanted to explain: "My opinion is respected because I have a lot of experience, but I don't like to interfere. My role is to keep the team united and prevent it from splitting," defending the work of strong members like race director Eric Boullier and team manager Jonathan Neale, individuals responsible for McLaren's F1 business, as highlighted by Dennis.
"The team management is good. From this point of view, I would say it is one of the best periods in McLaren's history, despite the poor results at the moment. Even the drivers understand it this way, as seen in their positive attitude," he commented, reaffirming the good atmosphere that prevails within the British team, as he has done in previous statements.
Finally, Dennis wanted to end with a hopeful message for his team: "F1 is the public side of McLaren and in the coming months, we will be proud of how quickly we have been able to recover. I have no doubt about it."
