Alcorcón presents its latest addition: Dani Jiménez

The goalkeeper from Sevilla joined training this Monday as the club gave him permission, since he finished the season later after playing the promotion playoff to Segunda with Huesca, with whom he finally managed to ascend. The Sevillian showed great excitement about his arrival at Alcorcón. "It's a great opportunity that this club has given me, and I hope to take advantage of it," he said during his presentation.

At 25 years old, Jiménez grew up in the Sevilla youth academy, where he was called up several times with the first team, although he did not make his debut in the top category. From there, he made the jump to Miradés, where he played two seasons in Segunda. Despite his 22 appearances in his second season, Dani had to leave the red team and decided to join Huesca's promotion project. "When they called me, I was surprised. For Alcorcón to have interest in you is a privilege," said the Sevillian. The goalkeeper showed great excitement and said, "In the end, dreams come true and right now I am living a dream." Regarding the team's objective this season, the Sevillian remained cautious: "The objective will be determined match by match and the feelings we have, which hopefully will be positive. I wouldn't know what to say in the long term, but in the short term, we will try to improve all the sensations and give everything on the field." Jiménez will compete for the starting position in goal with Ismael Falcón. Meanwhile, the youth player, Lejárraga, who has returned to Alcorcón after his loan to Navalcarnero, will serve as the third goalkeeper.
