Rayo Vallecano confirmed this evening their fourth signing ahead of the 2015-16 season. Diego Llorente joins the Vallecas club, moving from Real Madrid on a season’s loan. Llorente has been a player on both Paco Jemez and Rayo’s sporting director, Miñambres wishlist for some time and the advances to secure his services last season proved fruitless. This time around, the initiative came from the player himself who was anxious to not spend another season playing 2B football. The player will now join up with the Rayo squad in Neuruppin (Germany), where the Spanish club are preparing for their friendlies against Hertha Berlin and St. Pauli.
The 21 year old Llorente is a defender but can play in any defensive role. He made his full Real Madrid first team debut in the 2012-13 season and was used by Ancelotti in the Copa del Rey game against Cornellá last season. He played for Spain in the 2013 U-20 World Cup.
