Anguix, president of Elche: "We had a plan in La Liga and now in La Liga 2, the departures of some players will help to reduce the debt".

Juan Anguix, President of Elche, assures that Elche will not suffer another administrative relegation, despite having to pay almost seven million euros before July 31st for the debt it has with the players. "Under no circumstances will Elche be in Segunda B. We had a plan in La Liga and now in Segunda, but not in Segunda B. If we continue in Segunda, there will be players who want to leave and those departures will help reduce the debt," Anguix said.

The franjiverde president has acknowledged that tomorrow they will request the cautelarísima before the Audiencia Nacional to try to recover their category and be in La Liga. On Friday or next Monday, the club expects to receive a response. Anguix took advantage of his appearance to attack Javier Tebas, president of the LFP, and Miguel Cardenal, president of the Consejo Superior de Deportes. "Tebas watches over the clubs, but who watches over Tebas? Tebas said that our promissory note was fake, but he is a good fisherman when it comes to fakes. We think Elche should be in La Liga because what has happened is an injustice. I do not think about the first game against Ponferradina, we only believe in facing Granada in La Liga on the opening day (referring to the first match that will be played between Granada and Eibar, the club that has taken Elche's place after relegation)," Anguix said.

The president was accompanied by Julio Martínez, director of management and planning of Elche. Martínez has been in charge of reading an official statement in which the club has stated that they are being "buried."

This is the complete statement:

"WHAT IS HIDDEN BEHIND THE TARGETING OF JAVIER TEBAS, THE LFP, AND THE TAD TOWARDS ELCHE CF SAD?"

1.- The Board of Elche CF SAD, shortly after joining the Club, discovered that the debt of the entity was much higher than expected, and that 18,700,000€ was the amount to be paid before July 31st (8.5M to the Tax Agency, 1.5M to Social Security, 6.5M to players, and 2.2M to sports clubs), plus current expenses and debts with Club staff.

2.- During the processing of the disciplinary proceedings instructed by the League against Elche CF SAD, the Club proposed different solutions for the settlement of the entire debt, including the one with the Tax Agency.

The League categorically refused to guarantee the Club's permanence in La Liga in case they settled with the Tax Agency and refused to issue any certificate that would allow Elche CF SAD to find solutions. However, they scandalously consented to do so, but once the Single Judge had issued a resolution relegating Elche CF from the top category.

3.- The speed with which the disciplinary proceedings against Elche CF were instructed by the League is far from the time granted to other members of the League, with the alleged goal of leaving the Club without any temporal leeway to find solutions. Recently, a club from the Community of Madrid has resolved its debts with the State Administration and its players, with the support and collaboration of the League, something that Elche CF SAD never found, rather the opposite, blockage, obstacles, problems, and persecution.

4.- The Single Judge's resolution by which Elche CF is relegated is radically inconsistent with previous resolutions in identical cases. In other cases, the Single Judge has been applying attenuating circumstances by analogy, including good faith and the payment of debts or compensation for damages. In the case of Elche CF, neither has been recognized. Similarly, in recent years, the League has exempted, when it deemed appropriate, different clubs with teams in La Liga or Segunda División from the obligation to be up to date with their obligations to the Tax Agency or Social Security, as evidenced by different resolutions of the Administrative Court of Sports.

5.- The League presumably deliberately delayed the sending of the administrative proceedings to the TAD, leading to a delay in the final resolution, clearly to the detriment of Elche CF's interests.

6.- Elche CF knows that the League has carried out acts aimed at interfering in the sporting development of the entity, through calls, warnings, and suggestions to third parties, exceeding its functions.

7.- The TAD has made an unprecedented decision in the history of Spanish football, relegating Elche CF for a delay of 17 days in justifying being up to date with payments to the Tax Agency. The measure, which the Tribunal itself considers proportionate, is argued by stating that clubs belonging to the League must be up to date with their obligations to the State Administration (Tax Agency, Social Security, Regional, Provincial, and Local Administrations) every day of the year, forcing the League from this moment on to exercise almost daily control over these compliance requirements, as otherwise, it could incur the crime of perversion of justice.

The TAD knows and is well aware of how permissive the League has been in other cases with debts to the Tax Agency and Social Security, allowing clubs to participate in official competitions for an entire season, and yet Elche CF SAD is condemned to relegation despite being up to date with these obligations, adopting a measure that will go down in history as one of the biggest arbitrary and unjust acts in Spanish sports, making the President of the Consejo Superior de Deportes, Mr. Cardenal, the one who attempted to bury and liquidate Elche CF SAD.

Last Friday, September 14th, Elche CF requested, by registered fax addressed to the League, information on the submission of positive certificates from the Tax Agency and Social Security for all clubs in La Liga and Segunda División as of July 31st of the last two seasons to demonstrate to the public what is happening in Spanish football.

8.- Having said all this, ELCHE CF SAD is convinced that it is right and blindly believes in justice, so tomorrow it will submit an application for pre-emptive measures before ordinary justice, expecting a resolution this Friday or, at the latest, next Monday.

ELCHE CF SAD, despite the attempts of some institutions, is still alive and has a great future ahead.
