Peruvian Fighter Enrique Barzola Confident About UFC 211

Peruvian fighter Enrique Barzola is confident about his upcoming fight against Mexican Gabriel 'Moggly' Benitez on May 13th at UFC 211 in Dallas, Texas. The featherweight (65.77 kg) bout is scheduled for three rounds.

"I am very focused on this fight. He is a complete opponent with many qualities and flaws. But I don't think about his strengths, I only think about defeating him and surpassing him," said Barzola in a live interview with DT El Comercio.

Enrique Barzola enters this fight after a decisive victory over American Chris Avila, a student of Nate Diaz, in November in Mexico. "Now I am a more experienced and smarter fighter," he highlighted.

Regarding Barzola's upcoming fight in the UFC, his trainer, Ivan 'Pitbull' Iberico, stated that the goal is to achieve a decisive victory. "You won't see a speculative 'Strong'. His preparation has been very good and he is at a good level," said the director of the Pitbull Martial Arts Center (PMAC).

Enrique Barzola added that his goal in the UFC is to reach the top 10 in the featherweight division and fight for the belt. "I am young and I want it, I know I can achieve it," estimated the 27-year-old athlete.

At another moment, the 'Strong' referred to his contractual situation with the UFC: "From what I have been informed, I believe I have one more fight. But right now I am focused on my fight, I don't know if it will be the last, I will continue working."

Enrique Barzola has a professional record of 12 wins, two of them in the UFC, and three losses. Benitez, on the other hand, has 19 victories, 10 of them by submission, and five lost fights.

Enrique Barzola is an ambassador for Reebok's 'Be More Human' campaign, which has the philosophy that sports not only benefits the body and makes it more resistant, but also transforms lives.
