United States and Panama draw 1-1 in the last round of Group A of the Concacaf Gold Cup, which means that Haiti advances alongside the Americans to the quarterfinals.
United States, who had already secured the top spot in the group with two wins in the first two rounds, equalized in the 54th minute through captain Michael Bradley's goal, canceling out Blas Pérez's goal that had put Panama ahead in the 34th minute.
The draw in Kansas City means that Haiti, who had previously won against Honduras 1-0 in the same stadium, finishes second in the group with four points, behind United States' seven.
Panama has three points and will have to wait to see if they qualify for the quarterfinals as one of the two best third-placed teams. Honduras, with one point, is already eliminated from the continental tournament for Concacaf teams.
